Q.Why are there different size charts? Well, a lot of the major manufacturers we deal with (i.e. Dreamgirl, Leg Avenue etc) are U.S. based and the product sizes can vary from company to company. It is best to use the size chart included for the specific item rather than assume one chart is the same for all.
Q.What about one fit items? For items that are pre-made and one size they are generally considered to be a good fit for a UK size 8 to 14.
Q.I am larger/smaller that your sizes?Special Orders, if you are not able to find a size to fit you please e-mail us and we can give a price for a skirt to fit, please remember when asking for a price to include
- waist size
- hip size
- length
- material and colour needed.
How to Properly Measure and Fit Your Waist
Many people actually get confused on where to place the measuring tape.
Most people are unaware that when they are getting ready to measure is that there are two different areas that should be measured for this region.
1) Properly Measure Your Waist
The waist itself should be measured while taking the smallest part of your natural waistline into account. Begin by wrapping the cloth tape measure around the smallest part of your waist. Finish by pulling the other end of the tape measure around the back of your waist until the two meet in front and the tape measure is snug against your waist.
Where the beginning end of the tape measure meets the other end of the tape measure in front is your actual waist measurement.
2) Properly Measure your Low-Waist
To measure your low-waist, for low-rider leather pants for example, you need to place the measuring tape approximately three inches underneath your belly button.
Begin by wrapping the cloth tape measure around the largest part of your low waist. Finish by pulling the other end of the tape measure around the back of your low waist until the two meet in front and the tape measure is snug against your low waist.
Where the beginning end of the tape measure meets the other end of the tape measure in front is your actual low waist measurement. (this should typically be larger than your natural waist)
If you happen to wear hip-hugger jeans, then this is the equivalent to the area where your waistband hits your waist in these types of pants.
